Creative Hands Foundation is a charity which aims to educate young people and adults in creative arts and music skills for posterity and social economic benefits thus enabling them to achieve their full potential.
They aim to:
Increase arts and crafts activities for young people, adults and families
Reduce the number of isolated young people, adults and families
Improve young people and adults skills
Improve well-being of young people and adults
Raise aspirations and increase young people and adults achievements
They provide accredited courses, cultural arts and crafts workshops and volunteering for young people and adults aiming to start their own creative arts business.
ALL FM 96.9 is a community radio station broadcasting to south, central and east Manchester and is one of the longest running community radio stations in the UK.
The output is almost entirely volunteer led with just a small team of staff running the studios and managing community projects.
Broadcasting 24 hours a day, ALL FM delivers varied and distinctive community radio for all listeners, with content including debates, discussions, live bands, comedy, plays, community news and programming in a variety of languages.
With areas of volunteering including presenting, operations and marketing, there are ways for everyone to get involved.
Sound Bites is an independent ethical wholefood shop and not-for-profit workers co-op, specialising in a wide range of vegetarian, vegan foods and free from foods – many of which are Fairtrade and/or organic.

Room for Hire While the cafe is not in use the room is available to hire for very reasonable rates, for small meetings.
Wow! So after all the awful weather the country's been having, the change this week to some more spring like weather is very welcome. All around I see spring bulbs growing and starting to flower with the snowdrops and crocuses winning the race so far.

Choirs R Us is a lively, friendly choir in Barnet with over 100 members who sing pop, soul and gospel every Monday evening.
It's a great way to make friends and there's no audition or need to read music as the songs are taught by ear.

The daffodil society aims to promote the whole of the genus Narcissus, the botanical name for our favourite flower the daffodil.
The daffodil society is open to everyone, from keen gardeners to horticultural and gardening societies, growers, botanists and flower show exhibitors.
The website contains information about growing daffodils and daffodil bulb suppliers but for those who can't wait it also contains information on places where native daffodils can be seen.

Sustrans is the charity that's making it easier for people to walk or cycle, working with communities so that people can choose healthier, cheaper and cleaner journeys.
They work to create sustainable transport options with better walking and cycling links, including the National Cycle Network.
